Harmónia Jazzműhely bemutatja: Szakcsi Jr Trió

2023. január 19.

A HARMÓNIA JAZZMŰHELY a Budapest Jazz Clubban január 20-án, PÉNTEKEN 20:00 órai kezdettel bemutatja: Szakcsi Jr Trió

SZAKCSI JR vagyis Ifj. SZAKCSI LAKATOS BÉLA lendületes, leleményes és lehengerlő exponense a bop zongora stíusnak.  2006-ban a Szakcsi Generation with Jack DeJohnette and John Patitucci albumon is bebizonyította, hogy milyen következetesen képviseli a nagy név által megkövetelt színvonalat és méltó partnere volt világhírű amerikai zenésztársainak. Néhány évvel ezelőtt a triójával kísérte az angol tenor-szaxofon óriást, Mornington Lockett-et, aki azóta is emlegeti a csapatot. Most jött ki várva-várt új albuma, melyet élőben élvezhet a közönség. Bőgőse, PECEK LAKATOS KRISZTIÁN 13 éves korában nyerte meg az országos jazz nagybőgő versenyt és röviddel utána az unokatestvéreivel alkotott Pecek Lakatos Trióval frenetikus sikert aratott a legendás londoni 606 Clubban. Azóta, a ma már 31 éves zenész a magyar jazzvilág élvonalában az egyik legkeresettebb muzsikus hangszerén. BALÁZS ELEMÉR dobosként és zeneszerzőként immár másfél évtizede meghatározó alakja a magyar jazzéletnek, s 1995 óta zenekarvezetőként is működik, az ország egyik legsikeresebb zenekarát vezeti. Ő aztán igazán nem szorul bemutatásra.

This dream-team unites members of three distinguished Hungarian Gypsy musical dynasties. The pianist BELA SZAKCSI LAKATOS Jr. gave ample proof on the 2006 album, The Szakcsi Generation with Jack DeJohnette and John Patitucci of just how consistently he maintains the standards set by his amazing father, while turning out to be an equal partner to his world-famous American accompanists. Bela Jr. is a brilliant bop player with amazing verve and great powers of invention in a genre where surprises don’t come easy. On bass we'll have one of the youngest but most amazingly talented offspring of another legendary musical family, 18-year old KRISZTIAN PECEK LAKATOS.  He was only 13 when he won the National Jazz Bass Competition in Hungary, a country crawling with world-class bass players. (Chairman of the jury was John Patitucci who invited Krisztian to join him on stage at his Budapest concert the following day.) By now he has added maturity and depth to his inborn virtuosity.  The drummer ELEMER BALAZS, - according to many, the best on his instrument in Hungary – is playing in top form nowadays. Pat Metheny had this to say of him: „Elemer is one of the best drummers around right now, in my opinion. He plays with such musicality and finesse and has the ability to listen inside each musical moment with the kind of spontaneous decision making that allows everyone that plays with him to sound their best.”
